    • Flash Fiction (less than 300 words)
    • Episodic Fiction (serialized novels)
    • Poetry
  2. Q: Is there anything you don’t accept?
    A: We do NOT accept
    • Work you do not own the copyright to
    • Horror
    • Op-ed essays
    • Fan-fiction
    • Pornography
    • Explicit graphic violence
    • Hate literature

All submissions are subject to an admittedly biased editorial approval.

  3. Q: Can I have nudity, swearing, sex, and/or violence in my work?
A: Yes, but we ask that you keep it to an “R” rated movie level.
  4. Q: How will my work be edited?
A: Except for practical purposes (spelling, grammar, etc.), we won’t edit or alter the content of your work without your permission. Please note, this includes any mistakes we might miss!
  5. Q: What about copyright?
A: Copyright is taken very seriously and we want to help you keep the rights to your own work. When you submit work to Unheard Magazine, you are doing so under the Creative Commons Attribution-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported License. Meaning, you allow us to publish your work but you keep the full copyright.
  6. Q: How can I add or change my author profile photo?
A: Author profile images require you to have a free account on Gravatar.com or WordPress.com
  7. Q: What happened to the print editions?
A: They aren’t gone for good. Work is underway to offer “Build-Your-Own” print editions as well as an Annual Edition.
